If you want to track different inventories for your vehicles, you need to create a prefix for the material code that matches the vehicle or truck code.
As an example, you might have a code for PVC copper piping 2 inch "PC-2IN" (Piping copper 2 inch). You have several vehicles codes V1, V2, etc. You would create a material code "V1-PC-2IN" for the piping copper 2 inch inventory for vehicle V1, code "V2-PC-2IN" for the piping copper 2 inch inventory for vehicle V2, etc., for each vehicle.
The TAC system will then track that material code with it own usage, on-hand levels and inventory levels either manually by posting inventory transactions or via the line-item invoicing. (Note: To use this feature, you must use work orders as part of the invoicing process, so the system knows which vehicle was used on the job.)
