Security Features

The TAC system supplies three areas of security.

  1. Data entry – Defines what the user can do with the data.

  2. Categories of information – Defines what information area can be accessed.

  3. Divisional access – Allows access to a division of the company

Data Entry

There are four different options for data entry permissions within TAC.  A user can be assigned one of these options:

  1. None

  2. Read only

  3. Read/write

  4. Full (ability to delete entries)

Categories of Information

The data access is set for each of eight information areas within the TAC system. These areas are:

  1. Administrative

  2. Customer and Site

  3. Dispatch

  4. Inventory

  5. Invoicing

  6. Marketing

  7. Receivables

  8. Vehicles

This way a sales person can have full access to marketing features, but only read access to customer and site, and no access to invoicing and receivables.

Divisional Access

Both of the above are assigned to an authorized divisional code list that the setting applies to.  This way a person can have full access to division “A”, but no access to division “B”.
