Sales Reports
There are many different types of sales reports, depending on what information you need.. You can always get to the sales reports from the Main Menu, by selecting Reports>Financial and clicking on the Sales tab.
How to Run a Report
The Sales Reports Form consists of a large area with search fields, colored yellow. You can select the data in the report by entering information in any fields, such as a range of dates, and clicking on the Search button. If any company sales match your search, there is a number that shows up in the count at the bottom of the form.
You can select an report to run by double-clicking on it in the list of reports. (Sometimes you will see a printer pop-up which asks you to select a printer. The printer you select will be used only if you decide to print the invoices after you have a chance to preview them, which is the next step.)
A preview window opens which allows you to look at the report before printing it. You can look at any or all pages of the report by clicking on the arrows at the top of the form.
.
Many sales reports have charts at the top, to give a graphical representation of the data.
Many reports also summarize and group information and allow you to drill-down to see more details. If you move the mouse pointer over the lines of the report and the pointer turns to a magnifying glass, you can double-click on that line to drill down to more details. (For example, the Sales by Market Type Report has a summary page for all market types, and you can drill down on each market type in the list to see the list of sales for that market type.)
You can print the whole report, or any drill-down of the report, by clicking on the little printer picture as displayed in the above area. The printer will print the current view you have on the computer screen.
Close the preview window by clicking on the little X at the upper right corner of the preview window.
Note: All Reports and Financial Documents in the system work in the same way..
