Create Work Orders

The Edit Work Orders form supports the creation of a work order detailing the work to be completed.  This same document is then used by the dispatching services to control the work completion.

 

Required Fields

Site Number

Type Work Order

Schedule Date

Rate Code

 

Steps

 

1)      Click the  Add New button at the bottom of the form.  Fields that you can type into will be yellow.

 

2)   Select a site by typing it in the Site # field,   or by clicking on the little magnifying glass button next to that field.

 

3)      Notice that Market Type and Rate are automatically populated from the Site Master.

6)      Enter special instructions for the driver in the Driver Note field..

7)      Enter a note for the invoice for the service.

8)      There must be a valid Rate Code on the work order in order to save the work order.

9)      Click the Save button.  Now a unique work order number will be on work order. 

10)  Click the Done button

 

How to print a work order

  1. Work Orders are considered to be dispatch reports and can be printed from the Dispatch Reports form.  (You can always open this form by selecting Reports > Dispatch from the Main Menu.)  You must click on the Work Orders tab on this form.

 

  1. The Work Orders tab consists of a large area with search fields, colored yellow.  You can select which work orders will print by entering information in any fields, such as a range of dates,  and clicking on the Search button.  If any work orders match your search, there is a number that shows up in the count at the bottom of the form.

 

  1. The list of reports you can print includes work orders, work order lists, and driver reports.  To print work orders , double-click on Work Orders Format 01 in the list of reports. (Sometimes you will see a printer pop-up which asks you to select a printer.  The printer you select will be used only if you decide to print the work orders after you have a chance to preview them, which is the next step.)

 

  1. A preview window opens which allows you to look at the work order before printing it.  You can look at any or all of the work orders by clicking on the arrows at the top of the form.

  1. You can print the work orders by clicking on the little printer picture as displayed in the above area.  

  1. Close the preview window by clicking on the little X at the upper right corner of the preview window.

 

Note: All reports in the system work in the same way.

 

Additional Information

 

The printed version of the work order is controlled by the population of fields on this form. If you populate # units and type unit,  different text appears on the work order than if you do not.

 

The work order form has four fields specific to waste tracking.  This fields and those associated with the site are used to generate the work order tracking reports for work orders and electronic reporting.

 

Field

Description

Landfill

This field can be auto populated from the site master whenever a new work order is created.  Used to populated reports by disposal location.

Volume

Quantity of disposal amount by volume.

Lading#

Unique tracking number assigned by disposal location.

Weight

Quantity of disposal amount by weight. This number and the quantity are forced to match when the rate code is used in tagged for pumping.
