Disposal Tracking

The TAC system tracks disposal management in two basic ways.

1. Work order tracking

2. Disposal load

a. Land fill

b. Disposal site

c. Land application

d. Disposal ticket

The first method links the invoice and work order to track the disposal activity, and supports the ability to do full tracking back to the source location with full identification of the waste source.

The second, method tracks the disposal event, i.e., the truck load being disposed of.  You enter specific information about the load i.e., driver, truck, date, time, type of waste, work order number, unit serial number ,etc., to support the tracking requirements.

The TAC system fully supports all of these methods with full sets of printed reports and electronic exporting for regulatory reporting requirements in several formats.

Disposal Method Selection Guidelines

There are typically three businesses requirements for disposal tracking.

1. Full identification of source of waste

2. Track disposal amounts and method without source of waste identification

3. Track disposal amounts and method with identification of source of waste

Full Identification of Source of Waste

If you are responsible for reporting full identification of the waste source, you must use work orders to schedule and track your work activity.

Track Disposal Amounts and Methods

If you need to track only the disposal events, i.e., number of loads, land application, etc., then the waste tracking inventory is a better alternative.

Track Disposal Amounts and Method with Waste Source Identification

If you need to track both the load event and the source of the waste, you need to do both the work order tracking and make entries for the individual disposal loads using the waste inventory module. adding the work order number associated with the load being tracked.  If the waste being disposed of comes form multiple sources, you need to make a separate entry for each work order being tracked.
