TAC 2004 forms use rate codes to identify a service or product with its associated charges. You will add the rate codes to the system reference files so that they are available to you in a pull-down list when you create charges.
Note: You can always edit the reference files by selecting Main Menu: Admin > Reference, then select Rate Codes (Reference File #15) by double-clicking in the list.
Steps to add your rate codes
Click the Add New button at the bottom of the form. All fields you can type into will be yellow.
Enter a name for your rate code and a description to help you remember what it is for.
Determine how you will price your service or item, whether it is taxable, etc.
Determine if performing this service will advance the reminder date for next service.
Fields can be left blank if they are not needed. You can always come back and edit the rate code later.
The Note field is what shows up on the invoice, so it important to fill this in with a description for your customers.
When you are done, click the Save button at the bottom of the form. Click the Done button to close the form.
