Active site feature allows you to set the status field for a site to a code representing an Active site, e.g., Status=”0” or “ACT”, so you can automatically filter only active sites. Make sure the code you choose is placed into Reference File 5 (site status).
Then under Admin>System Settings Cross Divisional, Controls Tab, set the status default for site search to this code, i.e., “0” or “ACT”.
When you go to the Customer Master and click the Sites tab, only sites with this code are displayed and the site search comes up with the status field pre-populated with this code. This way only active sites show up. Of course you can always change the pre-populated status value and all sites will then be displayed.
You can set the status field in bulk using the Admin > Database Utilities, Bulk Site Changes Tab. Select sites with a balance and click search and then change the Status field to the active code and click “Bulk Site Change” . All selected sites from the search will now have a status set to the selected code.
