Within TAC there are several forms that support the feature of storing the name of an image file, such as a bmp, or jpg file ( e.g., “layout.bmp”). This allows you to scan a document and store in on the computer system. Once it is stored, you can use the powerful searching features within TAC to retrieve the document when needed. Since all the documents are stored in a common directory, we recommend you use the site number followed by an underscore character, “_”, as a prefix to the name you use, such as “ 23_layout.bmp” .
Forms that support this feature include:
Customer Notes
Site Notes
Site Equipment
Work Orders
Documents are linked to the forms by displaying their filenames in a texbox. To view a document, simply double-click the textbox field holding the name of the file, and the document viewer will bring up the image.
